Step One & Eleven of Intuition: Walking in Discernment - The beginning and the End

The whole point of these video ‘steps of intuition’ is about building up the groundwork and foundations to gain and use your natural powers of intuition and hearing from your guide. The Video link is at the bottom.

This video below should have been, ‘Step One, but I had not figured on one key factor, the modern human characteristic that can get in the way of mastering any spiritual skills and that is … the basic understanding, that the apprentice needs to work for ‘free’ usually for years without or for extraordinarily little pay, or in this instance walking in the apprenticeship shoes, awaiting the spiritual gift of hearing your guide.

Boring as it is and very unmodern, waiting ‘for’ and working ‘for’ something, that may take ‘years’ to receive is (or can be) the realistic outcome and few are willing to partake in this apprenticeship course. I’d put out videos showing them how to master their emotions and hone their manifestation skills and all the while people ask “yes! But when are you going to show us how to connect?” not realising that I already am.

Some people receive this gift when they’re young and for whatever reason they don’t have to even try but I can tell you that their lives are often on a superfast track of karmic lessons, to temper the vessel that holds the gift. This hasn’t anything to do with being good enough and passing a test. It’s more to do with being more useful in this life and causing less harm to those around you.

Humility, compassion, love, patience, optimism and positivity, manifesting skills, self-sacrifice, self-reflection, self-acceptance, mastering boundaries, discernment of spirits and frequencies, fortitude and inner strength, faith, resilience and all without the egos desire to be reactionary in situations.

These are all equal partners in the tool box of a psychic or medium because they all the fruit of discernment to grow and without discernment the Ego runs rampant and unchecked.

Honing the personality within the framework of your temperament is a challenge enough for anyone in one lifetime let alone throwing in the mix a spiritual Woo Woo gift. The benefits though are true discernment which is a gift worth more than gold and just as valuable as any gold or silver.

If the ground work isn’t worked on then something twisted happens. It’s an ugly beast that has and continues to be played out in the spiritual communities and religious organisations and it’s called ‘Lack of Discernment’. It causes people who consider themselves religious or spiritual to cause untold pain and hurt to others around them and heaven forbid they have some sort of authority in the community. Shocking! Truly Shocking behaviour.

It is only by being on a path of self-discernment of what is going on in your own head and heart can you begin to master the act of discerning others frequencies. Do I know why some are giving a spiritual gift and others aren’t? I have a few ideas. But what I do know is that nothing is more important than learning the gift of discernment. The Bible classifies this gift as extremely important and yet the church either won’t or can’t teach it properly and it was one of the reasons, I decided I had to leave the religion. Another subject for another day.

A friend sent this across WhatsApp the other day and I would like to add to it.

This was a brilliant tweet but I would like to add to it.

+When you're not used to being confident you will see confidence in others as arrogance.

+When you're used to being passive you will see assertiveness in others as aggression.

+When you're not used to getting your needs met, others who have boundaries and prioritise themselves will seem selfish to you.

Lack of discernment about yourself makes for poor discernment of others ... and if you're planning or hoping to use your gift of intuition to help others then the work needs to always start at home first.

Churchy things said often trigger the crap out of some people so I'll keep it short but if you google the term 'gift of discernment' you will see the benefits for all budding spiritual learners. It helps to distinguish fact from fiction, illuminate truths and lies, spot deception, as well as the emotional and spiritual state of individuals and groups. It's a frequency reader turned up to the max and unfortunately very few are in the church due to leaders themselves not having the gift and so they are wary of those that do. But I'm not a believer in throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Taking the time to truly self-reflect; on every thought and feeling you have, gives you the valuable gift of quietness and teaches you the art of contemplation. It is in these moments when you hear the voice of your guide within the silence of the silence. Quietening and slowing down is the key and few find that easy with our fast paced world. But if you have a mind to, you can.

The learning never stops within ourselves and karmic lessons aren't like onion rings, they’re more like tree trunk rings and with every ring completed it’s one more masterclass finished. Better to learn the lessons than go round and round in circles on a loop getting fed up of the same scenarios playing out in your life. The desire to judge others or be a victim, will cease to have such a strong hold on you as it once did. Then, as you learn through diligence and tenacity and you're skipping through the lessons, an inner strength, wisdom and peace will start to permeate and you're once busy mind begins to hear what was there all the time.

I have to always give this piece of advice that was given to me by my guide: Don't worship your guide. Don't ask for a guide to come in from a position of worshiping. They are your helper and equal.

Showing submission isn't something I'd recommend. I don't believe in demons or hell, I believe our hell can be made within us just as heaven is within us. But there are stuff out there who do not have your best interests at heart. I only believe that one can be possessed if you grant permission and/or come from a place of fear but possession of what is the question. I'm beginning to believe that there are other worldly beings who can get in our heads and they don't have wings and and horns, I think its much more down to earth than that. But that's another subject for another day.
